EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AGREEMENT
The existing agreement between Industry Energy and Equinor on gender and other equality and diversity was reviewed during autumn 2021. The trade unions in Equinor were involved and PL was chair. The agreement will shortly be available on Insight in Norwegian and English.
The language in the new agreement is more up to date and includes definitions and descriptions of relevant words and expressions. The text is brief and to the point and covers the most important areas of equality and diversity, in addition to ensuring compliance to external and internal rules and regulations and supporting the Equinor Book and the Code of Conduct.
-I am very pleased with the new agreement, says Torunn Loftsgård, Industry Energy Equinor representative for equality. The agreement has been carefully prepared and states even more explicitly that discrimination based on gender, age, national/ethnic origin, disability, sexuality, religious belief, political view or other conditions without relevance for performing the work, is not accepted.
